Deposit

Hello All,

Just come back from PD Sales office and paying the $1,000 deposit. It has all come back uder budget but I still have to wait for prices on the sarking and wall soundproofing.

:) I have a start date of November 2010 - Now time for saving!

Update on Colours/ Interiors

Just a late update on my visit to Hopetoun interiors.

I like most of the category 1 options and love some of the promotion upgrades. There are somethings though that I need to upgrade :) Like:
Glass splashback in Red for the kitchen, a mixer tap like this one from Ikea


(I will see how much they charge for the upgrade, if not i will go to Ikea
Other things I am thinking about adding are:
Wall soundproofing
Sarking
Door to the ensuite
Door from Garage
Deleting a shelf from the pantry so I can fit my freezer in!!
A window space in an interior wall
A small window to the ensuite because of my corner block :(
Maybe a capped gas point..

I have a meeting tomorrow to see how much all this is going to cost!
We will see; if it goes over my budget limit I may have to look for another house design :((

A decision

I was looking for a while last year to buy some land for an investment and after a few dead ends I found a great opportunity at Bluestone Green, Wyndham Vale.

After thinking for a while I decided that I would build on the land my own home and not sell it. It is very exciting thinking of all the things that I could customise in my own home :)

So after more dead ends looking at builders and designs I have finally decided what house will be mine for a long time :)

Porter Davis's Lisbon 22 is a wonderful design for James and I's needs.
I like how the bedrooms are separate from the entertaining/ Living rooms.




I am visiting Hopetoun tomorrow to get an idea of colours and upgrade costs. But we will be boring and not go for many upgrades; only the necessities.
